General FAQ'S

 

Where is Love Fields from the festival?

Love Fields is located on private grounds just outside of Gate C, on the east side of the festival. From our gate to gate C we measured just 42 steps, once inside you are 10 minutes from the pyramid stage and the heart of the festival. 

What's Love Fields address and how do I get there?

Our address is - Love Fields, Pylle Lane, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, BA4 4HP. 

When you get close to the festival please turn off your sat nav and follow the festival signs, you will be looking to follow the Blue route, once on the Blue route look for signs for Love Fields. 

do you have parking?

Yes, you will need to book parking when you make your booking for your accommodation if your planning to drive, a car pass is £50 per car, we have limited parking available, if you book multiple car passes you may be guided to park in an overflow car park, around 5mins walk from Love Fields.  We will send you your Blue route and Love Fields car pass around 2 weeks prior to the festival. Our on site car parks are only a few minutes walk from our accommodation, once you've arrived at Love Fields you will be guided to where you need to go. 

Can a friend who's not staying at Love fields park at love fields?

Sorry but only Love Fields guests can park at Love Fields, if you are coming in convoy the closest Glastonbury car parks are either the blue or purple car parks. 

i'm coming by bus, how dO i GET TO LOVE FIELDS?

You will be dropped off at the festival bus station, you will need to get your festival wristband and enter the festival through pedestrian Gate A, walk to pedestrian Gate C and exit the festival, on the other side of Gate C look left and you will see Love Fields. 

I'm coming by Taxi or being dropped off, how do I get to Love Fields? 

You will need to be dropped off at the festival 24hr Drop and Collect point, the Drop and Collect is located to the east of the site. Head towards Evercreech on the A371 and follow the signs for Drop and Collect or DC. From this point a 24hr shuttle service runs to pedestrian Gate A, you will need to get your festival wristband and enter the festival through pedestrian Gate A, walk to pedestrian Gate C and exit the festival, on the other side of Gate C look left and you will see Love Fields. 

I'm coming by train, how do I get to Love Fields? 

The best railway station to reach is Castle Cary, for festival ticket holders there is a free shuttle bus to the festival bus station, next to Gate A, you will need to get your festival wristband and enter the festival through pedestrian Gate A, walk to pedestrian Gate C and exit the festival, on the other side of Gate C look left and you will see Love Fields. 

Can I camp next to my friends?

Love Fields is made up of three fields, providing you are all booked into the same field we will always try to make sure you are camped close together. Please try to give us as much notice as possible who you would like to be close to so we can reserve your pitches together. 

Can Friends come to Love Fields?

Our VIP bar close to Gate C is open to friends and family of guests who would like to come back and enjoy a relaxed drink at Love Fields. Unfortunately for security reasons only booked guests have access to accommodation and other  areas. If you would like to bring a friend back you will need to speak with Love Fields Security on Gate C and give the name of the person you would like to bring back and advise on what time you would like to return with your friend to be put on the guests list. Only 2 additional guests per Love Fields booked guest at one time to visit. 

Are pets allowed?

No pets are allowed on site, at Love Fields or into the festival. 

Can I BRING GLASS TO lOVE FIELDS?

Unfortunately we are not able to allow glass on our campsites. The fields house animals when there’s no festival on, so please don’t bring glass items. If you do bring glass bottles/glasses then they may be confiscated or you will be asked to leave them in your car. We adhere to Glastonbury Festivals mantra of ‘Love the farm, leave no trace’ so please help us make it more sustainable by limiting the packaging you bring. 

CAN I BRING PLASTIC bottles TO LOVE FIELDS?

This year we have been working to stamp out single use plastics and along with Glastonbury Festival have a site wide ban on plastic bottles. We encourage you to be mindful of what you bring to the site and always look to bring reusable bottles, we will have a water bar where you can refill your reusable water bottle for the duration of the festival. 

can i bring food and drink?

Yes please feel free to bring food and drink with you; however we are not able to allow open fires or BBQs to be used to cook food in our campsite. The Love Fields restaurant and food outlets will be offering food and drink during the day.

Can i pitch my tent or gazebo in the campsite?

For customers that have booked one of our structures then unfortunately we do not allow the erection of any type of additional structures. We have an exclusive area with beautiful canvas structures positioned to give you space and privacy therefore we cannot allow tents or gazebos.

For guests that have booked a ‘Pitch Your Own’ caravan or campervan pitch, then fitted awnings can be used but a separate tent cannot be put up in one of these pitches, if you have guests wanting to pitch a tent then they must book a separate tent pitch. Gazebo’s can be erected on any ‘Pitch Your Own’ pitch but they must fit within the pitch area.


Accommodation FAQ's

 

 How many people does my ACCOMMODATION sleep?

Please refer to the accommodation pages of our website for full details. Our furnished accommodation sleep from 2-4 guests depending on what structure you are looking at, if you are a larger group you would need to look to book multiple structures. 

Our unfurnished structures sleep up to 5 guests.

If you have booked a pitch your own these are booked for 2 guests, you can add up to an additional 3 guests at extra charge. If you are a group of 6 or more you would be looking to book multiple pitches.  

What furnishings are provided?

Please refer to the structure description of the accommodation you are interested in, full details are listed of whats included. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to email and questions to info@thelovefields.com

What bedding do i need ot bring?

All bedding is included in our furnished structures, the Mongolian yurts, Ash yurts, Lotus bells, Airstreams and furnished bell tents. If you have booked and unfurnished bell tent or a pitch your own pitch you will need to bring your own bedding.

are towels included?

Towels are not included however will be available for hire from our information desk close to gate C. 

 ARE THE STRUCTURES SECURE?

There is 24hr security at all access points into the field and only Love Fields guests permitted access to areas of accommodation. Mongolian yurt and Ash yurt structures, along with the Airstreams all have lockable doors, however valuables are left at the owners risk. We would recommend carrying valuables with you or not bringing them at all. 

Is there lighting?

All of the communal areas are well lit. Electric lighting is provided in our Mongolian yurt and Airtream offerings. Battery or solar lighting is available in the Ash yurts and Lotus Bell structures. We would recommend to bring a hand or head torch with you as these are useful both in and outside the festival site. NO naked flames or candles are permitted in or around the structures, only Love Fields staff are permitted to light the fire pits or candles in designated areas where they can be overseen by staff. 

How warm are the structures?

Our canvas structures are made from heavy grade canvas and are generally warmer than normal tents, however it can get chilly on a clear night, please enough bedding sufficient bedding to ensure you have a cosy nights sleep. The Airstreams have heating and the Mongolian yurts are insulated and will retain heat better than other single skin canvas structures. 

Does my structure or pitch have power?

Our Mongolian yurts and our Luxe Kushti cabins come with power supply, other furnished structures are supplied with either battery or solar lighting. For our pitch your own options hook up can be booked with either the camper or caravan pitches for an additional £200 + £100 for the cable, the £100 cable charge is refundable at the end of the festival on the cables return, we ask for £100 to be paid in cash when the cable is collected. To comply with health & safety guidelines all hook up cables need to be Love Fields own.


Facility FAQ's

 

Are there communal areas?

In all of our fields we have communal seating areas were you can sit back and relax with friends, grab a bite to eat or head to the bar for a cheeky drink before heading into the festival. 

Can I charge my phone?

The Airstreams and Mongolian Yurts both have power supply to charge phones, if you've chosen to stay in any other of our accommodation we have a phone charging booth close to the bar by Gate C. There is a small charge for phone charging, with all proceeds going to charity. Note that chargers are not provided so please remember to bring your own, phones are left at there owners risk.

is the area secure?

Love Fields has 24hr security throughout the festival, we have security at all of our access points into the field as well as roaming across the site, only guests with Love Fields wristbands are permitted into Love Fields. We would always advise not to bring items of great value and any valuables left on site are left at the owners risk.  

are there hot showers and flushing toilets? 

Of course! We have a dedicated team that look after our toilets and showers and regularly clean them throughout the festival to ensure the highest standards are maintained. All showers have changing areas with hooks for clothes and our smart toilets have washing basins and mirrors. We ask our guests to use the showers with respect, they are for washing bodies, not muddy welly boots. 

Is there food and drink available? 

There is food available across the site depending on where you are staying, if you have booked into one of our furnished structures you can head to the tipi restaurant where breakfast and supper is available. If you've booked any of our other offerings you have a choice of options, from our breakfast bar in the pitch your own field, or to head down to the VIP area close to Gate C were there are a choice of food and drinks to choose from.  

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

Yes, families are welcome across Love Fields, we've had a number of families stay with us over the years, children under 4 are free, if your child sleeps in a cot you will need to provide travel cots and bedding. 

can we have a campfire?

Around our bars we have fire pits with ample seating for you get cosy with friends and enjoy the evening. Campfires, BBQ's and other open flames are not permitted in any other area of Love Fields. 

are there cooking FACILITIES?

We do not provide facilities to cook your own food, you are more than welcome to bring your own food, and for those guests who have booked to stay in pitch your own you can use your own camping cooking equipment.  We cannot permit cooking over an open fire or BBQ's due to fire safety compliance, we would advise that if we feel equipment is deemed unsafe equipment will be removed from the pitch and can be collected at the end of the festival.


Booking FAQ's 

 

Do you provide tickets with your ACCOMMODATION?

No we do not provide tickets with our accommodation, you will need to secure tickets through official Glastonbury channels before booking with us, please see www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for details. Prior to the Glastonbury tickets going on sale you will need to register for tickets - www.glastonburyregistration.com - once you have registered you can then try to secure tickets when they go on sale.

How do i book?

Once you have secured a ticket, to book with Love Fields you can send us a email - info@thelovefields.com or send and enquiry though our website. We will firstly need to know what type of structure you would like to book and how many guests will be staying, once we have confirmed availability we will send you a booking form to complete. 

Do i need to pay a deposit?

If booking an Airstream, Mongolian Yurt or Ash Yurt before April 1st 2019 a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due on the 1st April 2019. If you book on or after April 1st you will be required to pay in full at the time of booking. For all other bookings payment in full is due at the time of booking. We can provisionally book a structure/pitch for 48hrs pending payment for your structure. After 48hrs the provisional hold will be released and the structure/pitch will go on sale again. 

HOW DO I PAY?

Unfortunately we are unable to accept credit or debit card payments, payments can be made via bank transfer or cheque. If you are making an international transfer please be aware there may be additional bank charges that you as the customer will need to cover. 

Will i receive confirmation for my booking?

Yes, once the payment has cleared your booking will be confirmed and we will send you out a receipt for your booking and payment. This can take up to 48hrs. 

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel your booking at any time in writing to - info@thelovefields.com 

A full refund minus a £150 administration fee, or 20% of original booking fee, whichever is less, will be made for cancelations prior to 1st January 2019. Cancelations on or after this date will receive a refund of 75% of the payment received by the Company less the £150 administration fee, or 20% of original booking fee, whichever is less, once the structure is re-hired.

Is there a damage deposit?

We do not charge a damage deposit, however if there is any damage to any property at Love Fields you will be charged in full for the cost of repair or replacement. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details. 

can i change or upgrade my booking at a later date? 

Subject to availability yes of course you can, we will try to accommodate all requests but the earlier the better to avoid disappointment.  If you would like to downgrade your booking the difference will be refunded minus £150 admin fee only once the original structure has been rehired. 


Checking In FAQ's 

 

What are the love fields opening times?

We open our gates at midday on Wednesday 26th June 2019 to welcome our guests and close at 11am on Monday 1st July. 

what do i need to bring to check in?

We will send you a list of essentials prior to arrival, but you will need your car pass, festival tickets and a copy of your receipt for your booking. 

Where is my accommodation?

You will be shown your accommodation and where the facilities are when you check in at the main reception. Once you've checked in help is at hand to show you around, or your more than welcome to explore Love Fields at your own leisure. All accommodation is allocated prior to the festival and will be reserved for you no matter what day or time you arrive at the festival.
